FAQ about the Beavers
How can I help the Beavers stay ?
Where can I see beavers ?

Many people are asking what can be done to help the Beavers stay. The actions below are probably the most effective things you can do to help:

Respect the property of the local landowners
Sign the Partition surporting the Beavers
Donate to the Devon Wildlife Trust Beaver Appeal

Dont Trespass:
One of the most important ways to help the Beavers stay is to ensure that you do not trespass onto any private land. The future of the beavers is dependent on the support and good will of the local residents and landowners. Please be sure to park where parking is permitted. The car parks of pubs cafe's and restaurants are normally for the use of patrons only. Many of the local businesses will be happy to let you leave your vehicle in their carparks as long as you use there services but please check with them first.

Donate to Devon Wildlife Trust's Beaver Appeal:
DWT has drawn up a long term plan to turn this opportunity into a rigorously monitored beaver trial -as you read this, DWT's wild beaver licence application is being considered by Natural England. They propose that every beaver removed by Defra's vets should be returned to the River Otter as soon as it is proved to be free of infectious disease. DWT will then monitor the beaver population and its landscape impacts over the next five years.
The five year beaver trial would be one of DWT's biggest ever projects and they need to raise £54,000 before the end of March. You can visit the "River Otter Wild Beaver Project " page for more details of the scheme and an explaination as to where the money will be spent.
